Gilberto Dos Santos after his SFC 8 fight

RioMMA magazine is with Gilberto Dos Santos after his victory against a well rounded Carmelo "Camelot" Love.

RioMMA: Hi, Gilberto. Congratulations on your victory. How do you feel in the aftermath?

Gilberto Dos Santos: I'm happy with my performance. I stepped in the cage and do my work. Carmelo was a tough fighter but when the fight touch the ground I'm the boss and you can bet that you will be submitted.

RioMMA: Carmelo was trying to bring you to the ground. Were you expecting that?

GDS: I knew that Carmelo Love has a nice ground game. I was aware of his skills and I didn't want to be under his fists.

RioMMA: You want a title shot. How are you training for this?

GDS: I'm doing my usual training schedule. Cardio in the mornings, a little bit of musculation exercises and a lot of bjj in the afternoon. I'm working hard with my trainers to show Holgate a few new tricks and maybe take his arm as well as the belt with me to Brazil (chukles).

RioMMA: There is anyone you want to fight next?

GDS: Obviously it's Holgate. I want the belt again and I think our last bout leave a lot of unanswered questions. I want that Steel guy too. He was very confident prior his loss debut. I think he has a mouth that is bigger than his skills. I'd love sending him back to the gym... maybe with a dislocated arm.

RioMMA: Your fight witrh Steel was rumored for SFC 8... What happened?

GDS: I think SFC was looking for a #1 middleweight contendership bout and Steel was not good enough got that. I don't care. I'll fight whoever they put me against in the cage.

RioMMA: Anything more you want say?

GDS: I want to thank my fans and my trainers for helping me. I want to thank SFC for allowing me to fight in this great organization.
