SCF 16
Firestorm

AAAAND WE! ARE! LIVE! At the Sold Out MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada for what is sure to be a great night of fights!

Steve Lawson: Welcome everyone to SCF 16, Firestorm! I'm your host Steve Lawson with my partner at cage side as always Mike Calloway as we prepare for a night of excitement! Usually we have 7 fights a card, but tonight we upped it to 8 to show off the newest addition to the Supreme Cage Fighting Brand, the Featherweights.

Mike Calloway: Misty Magnum vs Chinh Akoi should be a crazy fight. I don't know much about either, but the Featherweights are known for going out their and putting it all on the line. They love to put on exciting performances and I don't think this fight will be any different. and they're both in the upcoming Featherweight Gran Prix which should be huge, so I know they're both wanting to put on exciting performances so that they can go into the Gran Prix with some momentum.

Steve Lawson: Also tonight, Michael Dudley vs Marcus Richardson!

Mike Calloway: Another exciting one, both of these fighters have knockout power in their hands and are well versed when it comes to out wrestling their opponents but have also had trouble in the past reaching that top 5 spot, they're both in the middle here, but a win here tonight could definately put them up there, especially if it's a finish.

Steve Lawson: And don't forget the rematch between Carl Frazier and Kellen Kimber Mike

Mike Calloway: How could I Steve, the first fight was very close, everytime the fight went to the ground Frazier would dominate but everytime they stood the fight up Kimber would pick Frazier apart, Kellen Kimber since then has come off of a dominating win over Conor Donovan, Frazier himself coming off of a win over James Washington Jr. and now here we go again! The winner of this fight could possibly be facing the Middleweight Champion for the title later on down the line so this is a very important match up for both fighters.

Steve Lawson: According to Alex Payne though Mike, James Washington isn't a big fight, and he plans on proving it tonight.

Mike Calloway: James Washington is a very tough fighter, he may have a couple of losses on his record but he's never been stopped and he's faced some top competitors, but none with the striking power of Alex Payne. James does well with submission styled fighters, but we've never seen him face a fighter like Alex who's coming to take your head off. But we can ask the same about Alex, he hasn't faced many top fighters himself, how well can he handle a fighter who's well rounded and willing to strike or go to the ground? This is the break out fight for both fighters in my opinion and should be a good one.

Steve Lawson: You know what else should be a good one? Chrissy Leenig vs Max Steal!

Mike Calloway: So many people are looking forward to this fight and for good reason. Look up their history and you'll see that not once has either of these fighters let the fans down. They both come out to decapitate their opponents, Chrissy Leenig is a scrappy fighter, the last StarrcadiaCF Lightweight Champion with devistating knees from the clinch, so brutal that some of her fights are hard to watch. Max Payne has great wrestling skills, even better striking skills. None of his fights have reached the 3rd round and he's looking to prove himself tonight by defeating the former champ. Leenig has her eyes set on the Lightweight Title and either of these guys fighting Arnold Hemingway would be an instant classic so this will be good.

Steve Lawson: And finally, these two will meet after all the hype to fight for the Middleweight Title only rather than Gilberto defending against Jonny Steels, Jonny Steels is the Champion defending for the first time against Gilberto Dos Santos.

Mike Calloway: This is one hell of a first defense. These two have wanted to fight each other ever since Jonny Steels first joined the SCF and now we finally get to see it. They started off as enemies when Gilberto first held the Title, but as the two got to know each other more they actually became friends. Gilberto was actually in Jonny Steel's corner when he defeated Robert Holgate for the Middleweight Title, but all the friendship is put aside tonight because they both want that Middleweight Strap.

Steve Lawson: Even though he's the champ, not too many people give Jonny Steels a chance here tonight Mike.

Mike Calloway: They didn't give Robert Holgate a chance either but Holgate defeated Santos on two different occasions and then Steels went on to defeat Holgate, but I can't blame them for not giving Steels a chance, Gilberto Dos Santos is a monster. He's scary enough on the ground and since fighting Holgate he's added boxing to his already impressive arsenal as well. Steels is fighting a different Unagi and will have to pull out some new tricks if he wants to keep his title.

Steve Lawson: All this AND MORE, as we kick off the show with the first fight of the night in the Lightweight Division as William Foster faces Rico Cortez! Which fighter will get their first win?
